Time Stamp is a handbound, 60-page book, my first foray into the world of book binding. The text of the book was written collaboratively, with each of the 15 authors writing an auto biography as well as a biography of a designer they respected. The full text was then given to each of us, who then had to edit and design the book.
For Time Stamp I wanted to combine the past, present and future of graphic design. The past was referenced through our writings on the designers we respected. The future was referenced by our own auto biographies. To reference the present, while working on the book, I would take 15 minute breaks every hour or so while working on the book. While on that break I would shoot photos of my surroundings. Those photos were then set as full bleed backgrounds throughout the book with the time and date of each photo notated on every page.
