Between the release of their debut album and their follow-up, The Tie That binds underwent many changes. The loss of their drummer days before a major tour, the loss of their singer, a new home on Arms Reach Recordings. Throughout the process, with each hurdle, the band found themselves struggling to find solid footing, trying things out, tossing aside ideas that didn’t work, going back to the drawing board and continually tweaking things until they once again felt comfortable as a band.
Their second album’s artwork is a direct response to that process, showing the process of a writer trying to get things right, tossing aside unused drafts and rejected manuscript attempts.
