The Braves That's The Hot Part CD

Arms Reach Recordings - Date
March 2003
The debut CD from the Braves pulled from the indie rock greats such as Yo La Tengo, Guided By Voices and Sebadoh. The genre’s common musical (and packaging) theme is focus through simplicity and sparseness. This CD was no exception.
The printed front cover was just the image of an early British colonizer running on the beach. The release information was printed on a clear sticker and the stickers were placed on the shrink wrap so that once the CD was identified and purchased, the information was then removed. The interior had a simple photo of the band, song titles printed on the disc (so the important information was extended beyond the package when inevitably the jewel case was damaged/lost) and the inner booklet was a simple layout printing the lyrics. Clean, precise and to the point with little distraction.
