Sunday Driver Clothing is a clothing company run by the extremely creative and boundary pushing Angel Quintana. Angel put a call out for designers to work on the CD packaging for a new compilation/catalog highlighting her new line of clothes, entitled Fleur De Lis. We seldom dip our nose into the world of fashion (as those that know us nod enthusiastically), but we could tell from digging through her website that Angel had an eye for the unique and we’d love to work on a project that highlighted that.
Eventually, we all decided on a design that sat in the background, putting the clothing at the forefront. The package mimics a journal, found decades after its use, left to whiter away in an attic. When found, the classic nature of the line is highlighted and shines through in the design, past the aged photos and water-stained paper, elevated to a timeless nature, which was exactly how I felt when I first viewed the pictures: There’s a relevancy in the line that transcends past, present and future.
