stock photography postcards

Client
Personal Project
Date
November 2004

For this set of 12 postcards (10 shown here) we wanted to directly compare the usage of stock photography to photos we shot ourselves. Half of the postcards in the set were created fully from stock photography. The other half of the postcards were created using imagery culled from our photo archives.

The end result is a series that works together seamlessly, showing that if used correctly, stock photography can be pushed just as far as your own photos, and your own photography can be used to portray the same clichés that stock photography is great for highlighting.
