For Rebound Records’ final release, they paired up Houston’s two best pop-punk band’s on a single slab of vinyl. The band’s each offered a song a piece and we were asked to add the artwork. With Sore Loser’s track looking back on their former high school insecurity and Dig Dug’s track offering a scathing critique of the fashion industry, the direction seemed clear. The connection was obvious to all of us who didn’t have the luxury of sitting at the right lunch table, and we dug into our old photo albums from our own high school days to find imagery that summed up our own fashion backward, corner slumming high school glory days. Incidentally, this was also the first project we ever laid out using a computer layout application.
