The debut release for Arms Reach Recordings was three songs from Houston’s best kept secret, Sore Loser. The record dealt with addiction of all kinds, from drugs to record collecting, and we ran with that as the basis for the artwork. A multi-layer silkscreen was designed around the idea of sexual addiction and handed over to silk-screen master extraordinaire Jackson Morihara. We asked Jackson to have fun with the process, creating a few different combinations, adding to the collectibility of the record, but even we were in for a shock. There were over 15 variations of the cover when all the ink was laid, ranging from simple 2-color combos to complicated overlays involving aluminum foil and see-thru graph paper, some limited to just single copies. The result was a record that reveled in the conflict being explored in each song.
