Dakota/Dakota Self-Titled 7"

October 2004
This record was a promotional 7” put out with one track from the band’s debut full length and 2 exclusive tracks. Unlike most promotional singles, however, this came out about 6 months after the release of their album. Because of this, the artwork was made to loosely relate to the album, but stand far enough away from it so that it was obviously it’s own release.
To this end, the song numbering on the back was continued over from the full length with the track on side A carrying over it’s number from the full length, .001, and the two tracks on the B-side being numbered .011 and .012, since the 7” was one step removed. Along with the numbering scheme, the same type treatment was done with all the type, and the border from the middle part of the CD cover was applied to the photo on the inside.
