The Sweet Sounds of the Siren 05.03

It’s May and that means that once again deep in the offices of the Village Voice secret lair preparations are underway for this year’s Siren Festival. Siren Fest is one of the best things about summer in NYC, and we couldn’t be happier that for the third year the Village Voice has asked us to pitch in and help make their vision a reality.

For the moment, this is all we can show you.

This year marks the 10th year running that Coney Island has been converted into the coolest festival backdrop in existence. There’s nothing better than a sunny, breezy June afternoon, holding onto the Cyclone for dear life and hearing one of your favorite bands playing just meters below. And it wouldn’t be Siren Fest if illustrator extraordinaire, Paul Antonson, wasn’t here to put together the illustration as he’s done every year since the festival’s inception.

If you live in NYC make sure to get your hands on a copy of this week’s Village Voice. If not, keep your browser on the Siren Fest website as the initial line-up for this year’s festivities will be announced on Wednesday.
